Roasted Broccoli

This is one of the absolute best ways to cook broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 1-2# of broccoli

  • Olive oil

  • Garlic powder

  • Onion powder

  • Salt

  • Ground black pepper

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.

  • Chop broccoli into bite-size pieces. Discard the larger stem, but you can use some of the more tender stem pieces.

  • Place chopped broccoli onto a baking sheet. Drizzle somewhat generously with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt, garlic powder, onion powder and ground black pepper to your liking.

  • Roast for 20 minutes until broccoli is tender and some edges are a little crispy.

  • Pair with any of your favorite proteins or carbs and enjoy!

Notes

  • This works for any quantity of broccoli. If cooking more, do not overcrowd the pan otherwise the broccoli will steam instead of roast.

  • If using a commercial convection oven, shorten cooking time to 15 minutes and rotate pan half way through cooking time.
